Trump's "I Don't Know Him" Act: Either He's Lying, or He's Lost It
Okay, so Trump pardons crypto dude Changpeng Zhao – CZ, whatever – who pleaded guilty to, ya know, enabling money laundering. Significant harm to national security, the prosecutors said. Then, months later, Trump's on 60 Minutes saying, "I don't know who he is."
Give me a break.
Seriously? The guy pardons someone, and then claims ignorance? It's one of two things: Either he's flat-out lying, hoping we all have the memory of goldfish, or... well, the alternative ain't pretty. Trump says he doesn’t know who crypto tycoon is despite having pardoned him
"He was a victim of a witch hunt by the Biden administration," Trump claims. Right. That's the justification? So, anyone accused of anything under Biden gets a free pass now? And who fed him that line of garbage? Karoline Leavitt, the White House Press Secretary, calling it a "war on cryptocurrency"? Sounds less like justice and more like someone's got skin in the game.
And let's not forget the hypocrisy. This is the same guy who's been screaming about Biden's mental state, demanding cognitive tests, and all that jazz. But Trump can't remember pardoning a guy who admitted to serious crimes? The irony is thicker than a milkshake.
Here's where it gets extra greasy. CZ's companies have partnered with firms linked to Trump, including Dominari Holdings, conveniently located in Trump Tower. His sons are on the board of advisors. Coincidence? I think not.

It's always about the money, isn't it? Always some angle, some deal, some way to profit. The Trump administration also halted a fraud case against crypto entrepreneur Justin Sun, after his investments in the Trump family's crypto firm, World Liberty Financial. See a pattern forming?
World Liberty Financial… offcourse, they launched a stablecoin that an Abu Dhabi firm planned to use for a $2 billion investment in Binance. It's a tangled web of crypto, cash, and connections, all leading back to Trump.
And then there's the autopen angle. Republicans are losing their minds over Biden's alleged use of autopen signatures, claiming it's some massive scandal. Some even want pardons signed by autopen to be voided. Is it possible Trump's pardon for Zhao was signed by a machine? Maybe that's why he doesn't "remember" it.
Of course, even if it was signed by a machine, Trump still approved it, right? So, the "I don't know him" defense still falls flat.
What's even more disturbing is the idea that those pardoned for the January 6th attack are claiming Trump didn't sign their pardons either. Are we living in some kind of bureaucratic clown show? Or is there something genuinely nefarious going on here?
I'm starting to think the whole damn thing is a performance. A reality TV show where the rules don't matter, and the truth is whatever Trump says it is at any given moment. The guy can literally say black is white, and his followers will nod along like it's the most obvious thing in the world.
Maybe I'm overreacting. Maybe it's just politics as usual. But the casual disregard for truth, the blatant hypocrisy, and the whiff of corruption are enough to make even the most cynical observer throw their hands up in despair.
